Our first cruise with MSC.
Boarding, when travelling make sure all documents, including passports and unabridged Birth certificate is available.... otherwise you will not be allowed to board. Suggest using the quick on board option, if you don't like queues. When standing in front of the boat, it can take some time, as they take security photos before boarding.
Beautiful sunset pictures on the top deck, or sunrise pictures, if you prefer.... try using your balcony also for nice photos. This is day 1 on the open see towards the island. Not a lot of people on deck, as it started to rain a bit.
Portuguese island is nice to visit, few rules to keep in mind.... purchasing from vendors could have your items confiscated, until de-embarkation. Umbrellas can be hired, and remember excursions are extra, which can be purchased online, or on the ship. Keep in mind if the weather turns bad, excursions can be cancelled, so rather buy the packages on board.
Be careful to negotiate a good price by the hawkers, if you're deciding to purchase anything. Certain items are preferred not to be bought as they destroy the natural ecosystems of the ocean.

Food on the island, is in buffet style... remember your vouchers for drinks, otherwise a hefty dollar fee will be added to your cruise card.
Our experience on MSC cruise liners was very enjoyable.
Go and view a clip at a day on Portuguese island and on our way to Portuguese island. The food on the island is free, as it is supplied from MSC, freshly prepared. Drink booklets should be used.
